Wayward Strand is a heartfelt emotional narrative game interspersed with a myriad of threads, all of which are played out at the same time on an airborne hospital in 1970s Australia.
Wayward Strand is a game in which Wayward Strand you play as Casey Beaumaris, a teenage girl who is visiting the hospital for the very first time. In the span of three days, she will look into the background of the ship, the daily lives of the inhabitants and the relationships they have with the other.
The ship’s rooms, and get to know those who have a fascinating and unique lifestyle. She can also shadow the staff and snoop around and explore the vessel and try to discover the secrets of its murky history.
The hospital’s residents are a diverse group, with a wide range of personality types – certain charming, while others are more eccentric than others – each having their own dreams aspirations, dreams, and desires. Residents can do what they’d like to do, regardless of the persona of their character.
During the three days Casey spends on the ship, the characters around her have their own lives to tell that she is able to study. The characters move and act independently, on their own timeline – sharing news with each other, opinions; arguing and joking, gossiping or having a chat with Casey whenever she stops to visit.
Casey will explore her airship’s numerous stories to see how her actions create an impact on them.
